EDUCATIONE is an international peer-reviewed journal in which current and original studies on learning, teaching, education and teacher training are published. The journal aims to make an impact in educational practices through the production, communication and dissemination of scientific knowledge that contributes to broadening the understanding of learning. The journal, which accepts scientific studies in Turkish and English, is published twice a year, in Spring and Fall. EDUCATIONE follows an open access policy and is published online. No fee is charged for the studies submitted to the journal at the stages of submission, evaluation and publication.

Aim & Scope

The aim of the EDUCATIONE is to share original and qualified research in the fields of educational sciences and to offer solutions to the problems in the related fields and to contribute to the existing literature in this field.

EDUCATIONE welcomes the following types of submissions:

Literature Review /Meta Analysis

The manuscripts submitted to the EDUCATIONE are rejected or sent back by the editor or the editorial board if the format and content is not suitable.

Open Access Policy

EDUCATIONE adopts open access policy. Open access to information benefits the humanity as it improves the global value of information. EDUCATIONE also supports the Budapest Open Access Initiative that was signed on September 12, 2012. Thus, the open access policies adopted by the editorial board of EDUCATIONE can be found at http://www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org/boai-10-recommendations.

Sponsorsip and Advertising

As part of its publication policies, EDUCATIONE does not accept sponsorship or advertisements. However, the journal can make announcements on its web page about non-profit scientific and educational events.

Publication Language

Turkish and English studies are published in the EDUCATIONE The studies prepared in Turkish should include an extended English abstract.

Publication Process

The pre-control, evaluation and publication process of the studies submitted to EDUCATIONE lasts 4-6 weeks.

Writing and publication policies
 
EDUCATIONE uses double-blind peer review technique.The studies submitted to the EDUCATIONE should not have been previously published and should not be in the process of evaluation in another journal. The authors assume full responsibility for this issue.The submissions are reviewed by the editorial board in terms of form and shape properties. While the studies that do not possess the requisite qualification are sent back to authors, the evaluation process is started for the ones approved by the editorial board.
The studies which are in the process of evaluation are sent to at least two independent reviewers in the relevant field. While assigning reviewers, both double-blind review and external review process are followed. Special attention is paid to the fact that the reviewers are not from the same institution as the author (s) who submitted the study.In line with the double-blind peer review, the identities of the reviewers and the author (s) are hidden from each other. Signs that may reveal the identity of the reviewer or author (s) are hidden. The documents submitted by the author (s) and reviewers are subject to preliminary review by the editorial board and the traces on the documents are removed.
 
After the Article Evaluation Process, the studies are;
  • published if both reviewers report "CAN BE PUBLISHED".
  • sent back to authors for making revisions stated by reviewer/s if one or both of the reviewers report "CAN BE PUBLISHED WITH REVISION".
  • sent to the third reviewer if one of the reviewers reports "CAN NOT BE PUBLISHED" and evaluation process is carried out based on the report of this reviewer.

Withdrawal of Studies

Studies submitted to educatıonecan be withdrawn before the referee assignment (in the pre-control phase) is made. Authors who wish to  withdraw their studies are required to fill out the article withdrawal form and upload it to the system. Otherwise, the article evaluation process will continue and studies will not be allowed to be withdrawn.

Revision Procedures in Published Studies

Authors have the right to make minor corrections within 5 (five) days from the date of publication of the relevant issue. Any changes are not allowed outside of this period.

Copyright Transfer

The manuscripts submitted to EDUCATIONE for evaluation should be original studies that were not published before or not submitted to anywhere else for publication.

Authors who submit their studies to EDUCATIONE should acknowledge that they have to transfer the copyright of their studies to the journal. The editorial board of the journal is authorized to publish the study.

Those authors who will submit their studies to EDUCATIONE have to fill in the "Copyright Transfer Form". Wet signature is required. The signed form should be scanned and uploaded to the system via file upload option while submitting their manuscripts to the journal.

Plagiarism Check

The plagiarism detection of the manuscripts submitted to EDUCATIONE is made by Turnitin, iThenticate and https://intihal.net/ softwares. The matches found in each study after plagiarism detection are analysed in detail and those matches with correct reference and cross-reference are sorted. In the next step, the mistakes in the remaining matches are determined and reported to the editorial board. The board, then, makes a final decision in the light of the plagiarism detection report. The author(s) may be asked to correct the mistakes listed in the report or the study may be rejected.

Early View

EDUCATIONE values the dissemination of up-to-date and original information. Therefore, those manuscripts that are accepted after the review process and whose process for publication is over are published electronically as early release. Later, these manuscripts are given page numbers and published in the volume and issue found suitable by the editorial board. The manuscripts in the early release may not be the final version to be seen in the normal issue. Minor editing may be done on the final version to be published.

References and Citation Control

EDUCATIONE, in accordance with its publication ethics, considers it to be an obligation for the accepted studies to have correct and complete references and attributions. Therefore, each study, after acceptance, is checked in terms of bibliography, referencing and attribution.

Bibliography is prepared according to the APA Referencing Style Guide 7th Edition.

The in-text references of the references given in the bibliography should be in line with rules and regulations, and mistakes are corrected.

Attributions of the in-text references are checked. The author(s) is asked to provide the missing ones, and the incorrect ones are corrected.

Note: The principles and procedures for citing references should be arranged according to the language of the article.
